In addition to the musical attractions, Rock in Rio III's biggest novelty was the Tenda Mundo Melhor, which was reserved for debates on topics such as "new nations and humanitarianism" and "Technology and globalization, "with the presence, among others, of writer Paulo Coelho and theologian and also writer Leonardo Boff, Jose Ramos Horta, and singer Daniela Mercury. About 1.2 million people attended Rock in Rio III to attend the shows, which were performed simultaneously on four stages.
